Police Arrest Impaired Driver after Kitchener Collision
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male with impaired driving after a collision in Kitchener.
On March 3, 2025, at approximately 6:20 p.m., police responded to King Street East near Riverbank Drive for reports of a two-vehicle collision.
Through investigation, officers determined that a grey Ford pickup truck swerved into an oncoming lane of traffic, sideswiped a black Chevrolet SUV, and entered a ditch.
The occupants of the Chevy and the driver of the Ford sustained minor physical injuries and were transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.
The driver of the Ford, a 58-year-old Kitchener male, was charged with several offences, including:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Dangerous Operation
- Driver Fail to Properly Wear Seatbelt
- Speeding
