Police Arrest Male after Attempted Robbery in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after an attempted robbery in Kitchener.
On December 10, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a male suspect wearing a costume mask attempted to enter a gas station in the area of Margaret Avenue and Guelph Street. The door to the business was locked and the male brandished a knife towards employees inside before leaving the scene.
The suspect was located by police a short time later in the area of Margaret Avenue and Victoria Street North and placed under arrest.
The male, an 18-year-old from Kitchener, has been charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
