Police Arrest Male After Hate Motivated Incident in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in a hate motivated incident in Waterloo.

On August 4, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m., police responded to reports of an indecent act at Conestoga Mall on King Street North.

Through investigation, it was determined that the male suspect exposed himself to the victim while uttering racial slurs. The male then sexually assaulted the victim. 

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries. 

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old male was arrested and charged with:

  • Indecent Act

  • Sexual Assault 

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
