Police Arrest Male after Responding to Dispute in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after responding to a dispute in Waterloo.
On March 28, 2026, at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers attended a residence in the area of University Avenue East and Marshall Street for a report of a dispute.
Upon arrival, police attempted to speak with an involved male who brandished a knife and uttered threats towards another individual and officers.
At approximately 7 p.m., the male was safely taken into custody by WRPS’ Emergency Response Team without incident.
The accused, a 30-year-old Waterloo male, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
