Police arrest a male after responding to a buy-and-sell theft in Kitchener. 

On June 29, 2025, at approximately 12:55 p.m., police responded to the area of Stanley Avenue for a report of a theft.

The victim had arranged to meet the suspect to sell jewellery posted on a buy-and-sell website.

The victim met at the agreed location and the suspect asked to hold the item before purchasing it. Upon being handed the item, the suspect fled area on foot.

Officers located the suspect nearby and after a short foot pursuit the suspect was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Woodstock male was arrested and charged with Theft Over $5,000. 

The male was held for a bail hearing.
