Police Arrest Male After Responding to Reports of Impaired Driver in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following an impaired driving incident in Waterloo.
On December 14, 2025, at approximately 3:50 a.m., police received a report of a male slumped over at the wheel of an idling vehicle while parked on Lester Street.
Officers responded, repeatedly knocked on the vehicles window to wake the driver and subsequently placed him under arrest. During the arrest, officers located suspected cocaine.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Drive while under suspension
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
