Police Arrest Male After Responding to Robbery at Kitchener Residence
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after responding to a robbery in Kitchener.
On October 12, 2025, at approximately 9:50 a.m., police responded for a report of a robbery in the area of Charles Street East and Cedar Street South.
Through the investigation, it was determined that a male gained entry to a residence, assaulted the victim, and stole their personal property. Officers attended the area, and the male barricaded himself inside a nearby residence.
Officers, including the Emergency Response Team, negotiated with the male and the male was safely taken into custody. The male was transported to a local hospital for further assessment.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Kitchener male was charged with:
- Robbery with Violence
- Unlawfully in Dwelling House
- Mischief Interfere with Lawful Use of Property
- Assault Peace Officer
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
