Police Arrest Male after Robbery Involving Firearm in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after a firearm was brandished during a person-on-person robbery in Kitchener.
On November 30, 2024, at approximately 5:45 p.m., police received a report of a robbery in the area of Victoria Street North and Ellen Street West.
A male suspect brandished a firearm and stole cash from a male victim. The suspect then fled into a nearby residence.
Police responded and secured the residence, and WRPS’ Emergency Response Team arrested the suspect at approximately 7:20 p.m.
There were no physical injuries as a result of this incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old male was charged with:
- Robbery with a Firearm
- Point Firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a weapon contrary to an order (two counts)
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
