Police Arrest Male Following Weapons Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following a disturbance involving a weapon in Kitchener.
On October 12, 2025, at approximately 5:25 p.m., officers responded to reports of a male striking objects with a machete in the area of Weber Street West and Victoria Street North. When approached by an individual, the male uttered threats and attempted to strike the person with the weapon.
The suspect fled the area but was located and arrested by responding officers a short time later. The machete was recovered at the scene.
A 31-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with:
- Uttering Threats
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
