Police Arrest Six Individuals in Downtown Kitchener Drug Enforcement Initiative
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested six individuals and seized drugs during an enforcement initiative in downtown Kitchener.
On June 4 and 5, 2026, members of WRPS Central Division Crime Suppression, Analysis, and Response (CSAR) Unit carried out enforcement in response to ongoing complaints about open drug use and criminal activity near King Street East and Cedar Street.
As a result, officers arrested six individuals, including four adults and two youths over the two-day initiative. The accused are facing drug-related charges, and two of them were additionally arrested on outstanding warrants.
Officers seized suspected fentanyl and prescription medications during the initiative.
