Police Arrest Two Youths Following Weapons-Related Incident in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two male youths following a weapons-related incident in Cambridge.
On October 3, 2025, at approximately 11:20 a.m., police responded to reports of two males brandishing a knife in the area of Saginaw Parkway and Franklin Boulevard.
Through investigation, it was determined that a verbal altercation occurred at a plaza, during which one of the youths threatened another individual while brandishing a machete. The youths then fled the area on foot.
Officers quickly located and arrested both males at a nearby residence. A machete and a folding knife were seized during the arrests.
There were no reported physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with several offences, including Disguise With Intent, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Failure to Comply with Undertaking (two counts), and Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death.
A second 14-year-old male has been charged with Disguise with Intent and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
Both accused parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
