Police Charge Kitchener Male in Child Pornography Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male after a child pornography investigation.
In April 2025, the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation into child pornography being distributed over social media.
On June 20, 2025, as a result of the ongoing investigation, police arrested a 25-year-old male, charging him with:
Making child pornography available (two counts)
Possession of child pornography (two counts)
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
