Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate an aggravated assault in Waterloo.

On September 13, 2026, at approximately 4:40 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault at a residential building on Columbia Street West near King Street North.

Investigators determined that an altercation between the homeowners and the two victims occurred after the victims attempted to enter a residential unit. 

The victims, a 34-year-old male and a 29-year-old male, were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

The investigation remains ongoing by members of WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
