Police Continue to Investigate Distraction Theft in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a distraction theft in Kitchener.

On June 19, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police received a report of a robbery in the area of Queen’s Blvd and Overlea Drive. 

The victim was walking on the sidewalk when they were approached by an unknown male and female in a silver SUV. The suspects engaged the victim in conversation and offered them a necklace. While doing so, the female suspect placed the offered necklace around the victim’s neck and simultaneously removed the victim’s existing necklace.

Investigators are looking to identify and speak to the driver and owner of the vehicle picture below.
