Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a disturbance in Kitchener.

On January 26, 2026, at approximately 6:35 p.m., police received reports of large disturbance at Fairview Park Mall.

Officers responded and witnesses reported that a large group of youths were involved in a physical altercation while inside the mall. The group then exited the mall and were seen chasing an unidentified victim while armed with knives and pieces of wood. No physical injuries were observed by witnesses. 

The investigation is ongoing.
