Police Continue to Investigate Fatal Collision in North Dumfries Township

Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate a fatal collision in North Dumfries Township.

On January 15, 2025, at approximately 1 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a serious collision involving two vehicles on Cedar Creek Road near Northumberland Street.

A 72-year-old female driver from Waterloo Region, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 39-year-old male driver from Elgin County, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Roads in the area remain closed for the investigation.

The investigation by WRPS' Traffic Services Unit remains ongoing.
