Police Continue to Investigate Person-on-Person Robbery in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a person-on-person robbery in Waterloo.
On May 2, 2026, at approximately 10:40 p.m., police responded to reports of a disturbance a plaza on Northfield Drive East near Bridge Street West.
The investigation determined that the victim had arranged to meet an individual to sell an item previously listed on a buy-and-sell website. During the exchange, the item was taken, and the suspect fled, joining additional waiting suspects nearby before all individuals fled the area.
The investigation is ongoing.

These zones, which are located in the parking lot of WRPS facilities, aim to provide some additional peace of mind to those who are buying, selling, or trading property online. Members of the public are encouraged to utilize these Exchange Zones when meeting people to finalize online transactions.
