Police Investigate a Robbery Involving an Abduction in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a robbery involving an abduction that occurred in Cambridge.
On September 5, 2025, at approximately 9:48 p.m., police responded to the area of Saginaw Parkway and Townline Road for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, officers located an injured youth, who was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Through investigation, police learned that the victim was forced into a dark-coloured van by five unknown suspects. While inside the van, the victim was physically assaulted, threatened with a fire arm, and forced to transfer money into a cryptocurrency wallet.
The suspects later released the victim and fled the area, last seen travelling on Townline Road.
The five suspects are described as Black males, in their twenties, wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
This remains an active investigation by members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit.
