Police Investigating after Noxious Substance Sprayed in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate after a noxious substance was sprayed in Waterloo. 

On May 16, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., police received a report of a weapons-related incident in the area of Meadowsweet Avenue. 

Through investigation, police determined that an unknown male sprayed two victims with a noxious substance. One of the victims, an 18-year-old male, sustained minor physical injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services. 

The suspect, who fled in a vehicle before police arrival, is described as a Black male, 5’7”, wearing a grey sweater.

The investigation remains ongoing.
