Police Investigating after Shots Fired at a Kitchener Residence
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate after shots were fired at a Kitchener residence.
On May 21, 2026, at approximately 3 a.m., police responded to reports that shots had been fired at a residence on Doon Village Road.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
Investigators would like to identify the individual pictured below in connection to this incident. He is described as a male with a thin build, approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall, wearing light-coloured clothing, a mask, and dark-coloured shoes.


Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting incident in Kitchener.
On May 21, 2026, at approximately 3 a.m., police responded to reports that shots had been fired at a residence on Doon Village Road. The unknown suspects fled the area in a vehicle.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit, and there will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day.
