Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting incident in Kitchener.

On June 1, 2026, at approximately 2:50 a.m., police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Sims Estate Drive and Fairway Road North.

Officers discovered several bullet holes in the front exterior of a home in the area. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

A dark SUV was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Investigators believe this is a targeted incident. 

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit, and there will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day.
