Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an altercation involving a weapon in Waterloo.

On May 30, 2026, at approximately 1:20 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault at a licensed establishment in the area of King Street North and Princess Street East. A male victim sustained lacerations after being struck in the face with a weapon and was transported to a local hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.

Businesses and residents in the area are asked to check their security footage between 1:15 a.m. and 1:30 a., on May 30, 2026.
