Police Investigating Disturbance Involving Noxious Substance and Weapon in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a disturbance in Cambridge after a group of individuals were involved in a physical altercation that led to the discharge of a noxious substance and a blank gun.
On September 19, 2025, at approximately 8 p.m., police responded to reports of gunshots and a disturbance in the area of Bushnell Drive and Elgin Street North. Upon arrival, officers located and arrested a 23-year-old male in connection to the incident.
The investigation revealed that the Cambridge male discharged a blank gun after being sprayed with a noxious substance by several unknown individuals.
The accused has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Assault with a Weapon
There were no reported physical injuries, and police believe this was a targeted incident.
