Police Investigating Hate-Motivated Incident in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a hate-motivated incident in Waterloo. 

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., police received a report of an altercation in a parking lot in the area of King Street North and Hickory Street West.

A male victim was sitting in his parked vehicle when he was approached by an unknown male who began yelling racist comments at the victim. The male then wrote racial slurs on the rear windshield of the victim’s vehicle. The male then left the area on foot.

No physical injuries were sustained in this incident.

The suspect is described as a White male, 30-40 years old, 6’0”, wearing a baseball cap, grey hoody, blue jeans, and white shoes.
