Police Investigating Multi-Vehicle Collision in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision in Kitchener.
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at approximately 11:10 p.m., emergency services responded to a collision at Fischer-Hallman Road and Victoria Street South.
A Chrysler 300, which had failed to stop for police earlier in Waterloo, was travelling south at a high rate of speed on Fischer-Hallman Road and failed to stop for the red traffic signal at Victoria Street South.
The Chrysler was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet. The impact redirected the Chrysler into the northbound lanes, where it struck several additional vehicles.
The driver of the Chrysler and a male passenger fled the scene on foot. Several open alcohol containers were also located inside.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit, and charges are anticipated.
