Waterloo Regional Police are investigating reports of property damage in the area of South Parkwood Boulevard and Timber Trail Road in Elmira.

On July 21, 2025, police received more than 30 reports of property damage to SUVs, pickup trucks, and crossover vehicles parked on driveways and roadways in the area.

The tires on the vehicles were deflated using a device that made the tires slowly leak overnight.

The suspects then left notes on the vehicle’s windshields that stated, "We are defending ourselves against climate change, air pollution and unsafe drivers."

The incidents were believed to have occurred between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on July 21, 2025.

The targeted vehicles did not sustain permanent tire damage.

The investigation is ongoing.
