Police Investigating Suspicious Fire in Waterloo

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE: 

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a suspicious fire that occurred in Waterloo.

On March 15, 2026, at approximately 10:05 p.m., emergency services responded to a fire inside a business in the area of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North. The fire was extinguished by Waterloo Fire Rescue, and no physical injuries were reported.

The fire has been deemed suspicious, and members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service General Investigations Unit continue to investigate.

As part of the investigation, police are seeking to identify and speak with a male believed to be connected to this incident. An image of the individual is being released to the public. Investigators believe the male left the area in a grey Honda SUV.
