Police Investigating a Suspicious Jewelry Swap in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a suspicious jewelry swap incident that occurred in the City of Kitchener.

On November 6, 2025, at approximately 1:45 p.m., police responded to the area of Highland Road West after receiving a report that a victim had been approached by a black Mazda occupied by two unknown individuals. 

During the interaction, the female suspects placed jewelry on the victim while simultaneously removing the victim’s own jewelry. The suspects fled the area in the vehicle prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to identify the individuals involved in this incident.
