Police Lay Charges Following an Internet Child Exploitation Investigation
The Waterloo Regional Police Service has charged a Waterloo man following an investigation into child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
In September 2025, the Waterloo Regional Police Service Cybercrime Branch – Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation involving child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
As a result of this ongoing investigation, on November 18, 2025, police arrested a 30-year-old Waterloo male. The individual has been charged with possession and making available child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
