Police Lay Charges Following Sexual Assault Incident at Kitchener Business
Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges following a sexual assault incident in Kitchener.
On July 4, 2026, at approximately 6:40 p.m., police were called to a business on Gateway Park Drive for reports of a suspicious individual who was following and harassing children.
Upon arrival, officers identified multiple victims who reported being harassed by the suspect.
Officers identified the suspect and arrested him a short time later at his residence.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Woolwich male was charged with:
- Criminal Harassment
- Assault
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Interference
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was held for a bail hearing. There were no reports of any physical injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
