Police Lay Charges in Kitchener Stabbing
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a female in connection to a stabbing in Kitchener.
On March 19, 2026, at approximately 7:20 a.m., emergency services responded to a report of an injured individual in the area of Weber Street East and Kinzie Avenue.
Police located a 39-year-old female suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to an out‑of‑region hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.
WRPS General Investigations Unit investigators subsequently identified a suspect who was arrested on March 26, 2026, by members of the WRPS’ Direct Action Response Team (DART).
The female, a 45-year-old from Kitchener, has been charged with:
- Attempted Murder
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
