Police Request Public Assistance in Identifying Theft Suspect
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges in connection to a series of shoplifting thefts in Kitchener.
Between January 26, 2026, and February 28, 2026, a male suspect attended stores in the area of Laurentian Hills and stole merchandise on multiple occasions.
On March 6, 2026, around 4:45 p.m., a male was arrested on Strasburg Road in connection to these thefts.
A 31-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with 10 counts of Theft Under $5,000 and was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are anticipated.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a series of retail thefts in Kitchener.
Between January 26, 2026, and February 21, 2026, an unknown male attended stores in the Laurentian Hills area and stole merchandise on at least three separate occasions.
Investigators would like to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in connection to these incidents.
