Police Seeking Assistance to Identify Suspect in Theft Investigation

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a theft investigation.

On July 11, 2025, at approximately 11:50 a.m., police received a report of a theft that occurred at Victoria Park in Kitchener. A female was sitting on a bench when an unknown individual stole her backpack. The backpack contained a wallet with identity documents and credit cards.

The stolen credit cards were later used to make a purchase at a local grocery store.

Investigators would like to identify and speak with the individual pictured below in connection to this incident.
