Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Female after Vehicle Stolen in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police arrested a female following the theft of a vehicle in Kitchener.
On April 20, 2026, at approximately 8:35 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft in the area of Victoria Street South and Walnut Street. Officers were advised that a vehicle had been taken from the area after it was left running.
During the incident, the stolen vehicle struck a basketball hoop while the driver attempted to flee. A bystander was able to prevent the vehicle from leaving the area, and the suspect fled on foot.
A short time later, officers located and arrested a 44‑year‑old Kitchener female.
The female has been charged with the following offences:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Fail to Remain
- Careless Driving
