Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Kitchener Male Following Child Exploitation Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation Unit has arrested a Kitchener male as part of an ongoing investigation into child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAEM).
In October 2025, investigators began an inquiry into the possession and creation of CSAEM (formerly referred to as child pornography). On November 19, 2025, officers arrested a 41-year-old Kitchener male. The accused has been charged with:
- Possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Making Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
The investigation revealed the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to alter images of children known to the accused for a sexual purpose.
