Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Kitchener Male in Internet Child Exploitation Investigation
The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime Branch – Internet Child Exploitation Unit has arrested and charged a Kitchener male in connection to an investigation involving child pornography.
In April 2025, investigators with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography.
On August 29, 2025, a 21-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with the following offences:
One count of Possession of Child Pornography
One count of Making Available Child Pornography
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This strategy is made possible through a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
The investigation remains ongoing.
