Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male after Firearm Brandished in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection with a threats investigation in Cambridge.
On March 21, 2026, police received a report that an individual at a residence in the Greenway-Chaplin area had been threatened with a firearm.
No physical injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, members of Waterloo Regional Police’s General Investigations Unit arrested a 19-year-old Cambridge male on April 7, 2026, following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Cambridge.
The accused has been charged with several criminal offences, including:
Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order
Breach of Probation
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
