Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male in Break-and-Enter and Arson Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection with a break-and-enter and arson in Cambridge.
On August 10, 2025, at approximately 9:50 p.m., police responded to reports of a male entering a vacant business on Walnut Street.
Upon arrival, officers located the male inside the building and discovered a small fire in one of the back rooms. Officers were able to extinguish the fire before it spread, and no physical injuries were reported.
The male, a 24-year-old from North Dumfries Township, was arrested at the scene and charged with Break, Enter a Place - Commit Indictable Offence and Arson - Damage to Property.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
