Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male in Connection to Stolen Vehicle Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following the successful recovery of a stolen vehicle in Waterloo.
On August 22, 2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police received a report of a stolen vehicle that was actively tracking in the area of Erb Street West and Ira Needles Boulevard.
With the assistance of the Drugs and Firearms Unit, Emergency Response Unit, and Neighbourhood Policing, the vehicle was located, and a 44-year-old male from Newmarket was placed under arrest.
As a result of the investigation, the male has been charged with the following offences:
Four counts of Operation of a Conveyance while Prohibited
Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000
Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
Possess Identity Documents
Dangerous Operation
Fail to Stop After Accident
The investigation remains ongoing and the male was held for a bail hearing.
