Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male Following Impaired Driving Investigation in North Dumfries Township
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male and laid several charges after a disturbance on a rural property in North Dumfries Township.
On August 9, 2026, at approximately 8:55 p.m., police responded to reports of an unwanted male operating a vehicle on a private property in the area of East River Road.
Through the investigation, officers learned that the male had driven in a dangerous manner on the property, damaged property, and assaulted a resident.
The male was arrested at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Rockwood male has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation
- Impaired Operation
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Mischief Under $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Kitchener on September 22, 2026.
