Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male Following Robbery at Kitchener Store
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following a robbery at a Kitchener store.
On May 5, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a business on King Street West near Andrew Street.
The investigation determined that a male suspect attempted to steal merchandise from the store and was confronted by staff. A physical struggle ensued, during which an employee was assaulted.
Officers arrived and arrested the male. During the arrest officers recovered several pieces of stolen mail.
The victim attended a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Waterloo male was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery
- Assault cause bodily harm
- Theft of mail
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
