Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male Following Weapons Related Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after responding to a weapons‑related incident in Kitchener.
On February 14, 2026, at approximately 12 p.m., police received reports of a male brandishing a machete in the area of Victoria Street North and Weber Street West.
Officers located the male a short distance away near Weber Street West and Victoria Street North and arrested him without incident.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
A 58‑year‑old Kitchener male has been charged with uttering threats to cause death and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
