Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male a Wanted on a Warrant and Seize Drugs and a Weapon in Woolwich
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male wanted on a warrant and laid additional charges following an investigation in Woolwich Township.
On July 25, 2025, at approximately 8 p.m., members of WRPS’ Crime Suppression Analysis and Response Street Crime Team and the North Direct Action Response Team (DART), with assistance from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), conducted a traffic stop near the Waterloo Regional Airport.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Kitchener male, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for the following offences:
Criminal harassment
Two counts breach of probation
Following his arrest, further investigation by members of DART led to the seizure of an imitation (Airsoft) handgun and a significant quantity of suspected illicit drugs.
As a result, the male was additionally charged with:
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
Breach of Probation
The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
