Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Two in Connection to a Shooting Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two Kitchener males in connection to a shooting incident in Kitchener.
On August 13, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police responded to the area of Victoria Street North and Forfar Avenue after receiving reports of gunshots.
Upon arrival, officers observed two males fleeing the area. Both were arrested a short time later. One of the male’s was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.
The victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to hospital for treatment.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Kitchener male and a 27-year-old Kitchener male have been charged with:
Assault with a Weapon
Aggravated Assault
Multiple Firearms Offences
Both accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.
