Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Two Males on Drug Trafficking Charges in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police have charged two males with drug trafficking related offences in Cambridge as part of an ongoing crime suppression effort. 

On July 7, 2026, at approximately 11:15 a.m., officers conducted enforcement in the area of Mill Creek Trail and observed a male engage in drug trafficking. Officers arrested the male and seized suspected hydromorphone. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old male was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

On July 9, 2026, at approximately 10:10 a.m., officers conducted enforcement in the area of Ainslie Street North and observed a second male engaged in drug trafficking. Officers arrested the male and seized suspected methamphetamine and oxycodone. A slingshot and metal ball bearings were also seized. As a result of the investigation a 59-year-old male was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
  • Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. 

Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
