Waterloo Regional Police Charge Male after Convenience Store Robbery in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to a convenience store robbery in Waterloo. 

On February 14, 2026, at approximately 5:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store in the area of King Street North and University Avenue West. A male suspect entered the store, uttered threats towards an employee, and stole merchandise. The male then fled on foot.

Police located the male at the intersection of King Street North and University Avenue West at approximately 5:20 p.m. and placed him under arrest for robbery.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old male was charged with the following offences:

  • Robbery with theft

  • Disobeying court order

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
