Waterloo Regional Police Charge Male Following Drug and Weapon Seizure in Kitchener
On April 2, 2026, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Drugs and Firearms Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on Fergus Avenue in the City of Kitchener.
During the search, police located a replica firearm, bear spray, and quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone.
As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with
Three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
A second male was also located inside the residence and arrested on two outstanding warrants.
Both males were held for a bail hearing.
