Waterloo Regional Police Charge Youth Following Assault Investigation in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a youth in connection with an assault that occurred at an LRT station in Kitchener.
On February 3, 2026, at approximately 8:35 p.m., police received a report of an assault that took place shortly after 7:30 p.m. at Mill Street Station.
The victim had exited an LRT train when two unknown individuals approached and assaulted him on the platform. The suspects then fled the area on foot.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries as a result of this incident.
Through investigation, officers identified one of the involved suspects, who was arrested on February 5, 2026, in Kitchener.
The youth, a 14-year-old male, has been charged with Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Assault.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
