Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Robbery Unit are continuing to investigate a commercial robbery attempt in Waterloo.

On April 24, 2025, at approximately 12 p.m., police responded to a report of a commercial robbery in the area of Hemlock Street and University Avenue West.

Four males attended the business in a white 4-door sedan.  Three of the males exited the vehicle wearing gloves, masks, hoods up, and were carrying empty duffel bags. 

Staff of the business prevented the suspects from entering, resulting in them returning to their vehicle and leaving westbound on University Avenue West.

Investigators found the suspects were in the area prior to the event at approximately 11:40 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing by the Robbery Unit.
