Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate Gunpoint Robbery in Waterloo
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a youth in connection to an armed robbery in Waterloo.
On December 6, 2025, the victim delivered a pizza to the suspect at a residential building, when the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On February 11, 2026, members of WRPS' Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit arrested a male youth from Waterloo in connection to this robbery.
The youth was charged with several criminal offences, including:
- Robbery with a firearm (two counts)
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (two counts)
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Break and enter (three counts)
- Use credit card not authorized (two counts)
- Breach of probation
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS' BEAR Unit.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate a gunpoint robbery in Waterloo.
On December 6, 2025, at approximately 5:10 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery involving a firearm on Parkside Drive.
The victim delivered a pizza to the suspect at a residential building, when the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle and was last seen travelling westbound on Bearinger Road.
The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 25 years old, 5’10”, with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and a black hoodie.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
